The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) went into effect on Jan 1, 2020, and has certain provisions in it to prevent companies from misuse of consumer information. Its target is primarily companies that buy and sell consumer information for the purpose of advertising. Because OpenKey does not buy or sell any consumer data, this act does not apply.
